Kiyokuni invest in new forklift trucks!

As part of company’s recent plans of expansion and investment, Kiyokuni are pleased to announce their new investment in new Bendi forklift trucks.

Translift Bendi, the original pioneers of the Articulated Forklift Truck, offers a range of narrow aisle forklifts (VNA) that has something to suit almost every site, layout or budget. The Translift Bendi works in the narrowest aisles, the highest racking bays and the most demanding multi-shift operations.

The new forklifts are more flexible and can be used inside and outside. Moreover, they are much more environmentally friendly, which is an important factor for us at Kiyokuni as we are ISO14001 accredited

Kiyokuni Europe Join the Government Scheme to Use Biomass as Energy Source

Kiyokuni were looking for a new office heating supply as their current one needed upgrading. We were advised about biomass government scheme opportunity. Since it is a renewable, low carbon fuel that is already widely available throughout the UK we decided to apply for this scheme.

What is Biomass?

Biomass is biological material derived from living, or recently living organisms. In the context of biomass for energy this is often used to mean plant based material, but biomass can equally apply to both animal and vegetable derived material.

Why use Biomass?

As a holder of Environmental Management System ISO 14001: 2004, it is important for us, at Kiyokuni, to use greener and more sustainable source of energy.

Correctly managed, biomass is a sustainable fuel that can offer a wide range of benefits:

  • Biomass is a “carbon lean” fuel producing a fraction of the Carbon emissions of fossil fuels. click here for more details
  • Biomass can be sourced locally, from within the UK, on an indefinite basis, contributing to security of supply.
  • UK sourced biomass can offer local business opportunities and support the rural economy.
  • The establishment of local networks of production and usage, allows financial and environmental costs of transport to be minimized. There is no region in the UK that cannot be a producer of biomass.

Expansion of Kiyokuni Premises

Kiyokuni are pleased to announce their plans to expand their premises. The building started in May 2016 and its completion is scheduled for October 2016.

Its main objective is to increase total space available in the factory to meet customer expectations, increase organisation and improve infrastructure and efficiency. This might also create space for potential new machinery.

Their current 50% increase in production is attributed to changing customer base and Kiyokuni hope that this current infrastructure development will facilitate their growth and build relationships with new and current customers.

Kiyokuni Europe Invest in New 400t Press

Commissioned in November 2015, Kiyokuni made the move to invest in the new 400T servo press, to service demands from an existing customer within the automotive supply chain.

Operational from January 2016, this is the first servo 400T press to be purchased by a UK based Tier 2 manufacturer!

The existing customer now utilises 53 out of 76 hours, whilst the rest of the capacity has now been filled with a new customer account.

New capabilities and excess capacity has allowed Kiyokuni to expand their client base and drive the company's long term sales growth! Kiyokuni are now looking to add another press into their growth strategy, due to the success of this purchase.
